You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Brain Development and Disease Research Unit is coordinated by Dr Laura Cancedda. The research focuses on investigating the role of Negr1 in brain disorders. This includes models of autism spectrum disorders.
Job Responsibility
Perform behavioral experiments (in models of brain disorders)
Perform cell biology experiments ex-vivo (in models of brain disorders)
Requirements
A PhD in Neuroscience, including neurodevelopment, and similar disciplines
Documented experience in behavioral and cell biology activities
Strong publication record
Good command of spoken and written English
Nice to have
Experience in molecular biology
Knowledge of the biology of Negr1
Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset
