Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

• Conducting functional assessments
• Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of PBS plans to enhance quality of life
• Promoting accessible PBS practices
• Building team competence
• Delivering training, workshops, and debrief sessions

• Formal PBS-related qualification (e.g., BTEC Diploma in PBS, BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent)
• Extensive experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism who display behaviours of concern
• Experience completing behavioural assessments within a PBS framework and reducing the use of restrictive practices
• Strong knowledge of PBS principles and related evidence-based approaches such as Active Support, Person-Centred Planning and Total Communication
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals
• Confident working independently, providing clear advice and guidance
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally

Certification with UKBACert or UK-SBA (or working towards)
