Job Description:

Patreon is looking for a Trust and Safety Porto Site Lead to support our mission. This role is based in Porto, Portugal and operates on a hybrid work model (in-office 2 days per week). Trust & Safety keeps Patreon welcoming and fair so Creators and their Fans can connect and creativity can thrive. Our Porto site is our safety heartbeat in Europe: most of our frontline Trust & Safety work happens here. You'll sit in Trust & Safety so you have real operational context, but your remit is site-wide.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keep the safety pipeline healthy during EU hours
  • Ensure work moves seamlessly between Porto and the U.S.
  • Be Porto's advocate for safety operations -- turning local signals into global action, helping teams adopt improvements that stick, and explaining what changed and why in plain language
  • Chair the Porto Leadership Council
  • Partner with the Admin/HR partner
  • Help represent the needs of all Porto teams in big decisions

Requirements:

  • Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in Trust & Safety, risk, operations, or a related field, including site or regional leadership responsibility
  • Experience leading teams or sites in the EU/UK region
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance using data and structured problem solving
  • Experience working with or managing vendors/BPOs
  • Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal
  • Comfort operating in a global, matrixed environment and leading through influence as well as direct management
  • Familiarity with EU/UK online safety expectations and how they translate into day-to-day operations
  • Passion for creators, communities, and the health of online ecosystems
What we offer:
  • Equity plans
  • Healthcare
  • Vacation leave
  • Company holidays and recharge days
  • Lifestyle stipends
  • Learning and development stipends
  • Patronage
  • Parental leave and sick leave
  • Pension with an employer contribution
