The post holder will provide leadership and direction to a team of Programme management department to ensure successful delivery of all programmes within the portfolio to schedule, quality and cost targets. You will be responsible for ensuring each programme delivery phase is managed to customer satisfaction with specific focus on key performance indicators – time, cost, quality and weight. You will provide excellent customer service and successfully manage the relationship between TAS, airline customers and the OEMs/Integrators within their remit. Furthermore, you will be responsible for identifying and driving improvement activities within the Programmes team and NPI phases.
Job Responsibility
Ensure successful delivery of all programmes within portfolio to schedule, quality and cost targets
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to achieve Programme Management best practice and continuous improvement
Daily management of the team, including decision-making related to programme delivery and reporting, escalating to Senior Management as required
Liaise with team to ensure all programmes within the portfolio are managed effectively
Weekly and monthly reporting of the portfolio programme status
Lead and participate in customer visits and audits, as required
Liaise with multiple departments across the process chain to support the delivery of the programme with respect to Time, Cost and Quality
Act as first point of contact within TAS for programme related escalations from airline customers and OEM’s
Report to relevant stakeholders on programme performance to contract deliverables and budget adherence
Drive continuous improvement activities to improve individual programme and product performance and department performance
Establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships across the various business functions to ensure efficient programme delivery is achieved throughout the full life cycle
Identify and mitigate any portfolio level risks and issues
Requirements
6+ years relevant programme management experience
2+ years’ experience in Aerospace Industry
Experience of people management
Strong understanding of best practice PM processes with the ability to deal with multiple high value and complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of P&L and budget controls
Strong, proven customer relations skills
Strategic Thinker
Strong leadership skills
Nice to have
Degree educated in Engineering, Science, Business or a related field
Hold/looking to achieve a formal PM Qualification. PRINCE 2 Practitioner, AGILE Practitioner
Experience in Aerospace Interiors
5+ years Programme Management experience in Aerospace Industry
