Job Description

Our Portfolio Managers and Associates are responsible for assisting with management of our 12 BSX-listed funds and various discretionary accounts in addition to helping our Financial Advisors (FA’s) market our products and services to their high-net-worth clients. Our professionals conduct primary and secondary investment research which focuses on equities, fixed income, model portfolio construction, performance benchmarking and advising clients and FA’s across a wide range of LOM products.

Job Responsibility

  • Management of internal portfolios with a focus on fixed income, investment grade and some non-investment grade credit, sovereign bonds (both nominal and index-linked), agency and covered bonds, their analysis, trade implementation and adherence to investment guidelines
  • Assist local financial advisors with developing new business
  • Attend meetings with Financial Advisors, present information to prospective clients, attend regular investment policy committee (IPC) meetings and otherwise support our team in providing our services
  • Assist in the construction of investment mandates and help to ensure we operate within the constraints of the underlying account documents across multiple client accounts
  • Help develop strategies in the areas of thematic positioning, sector weightings, regional exposures, bond duration targeting, and tactical credit exposures designed to achieve specific investment goals
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of macroeconomic environment with the aim of generating a top-down view of markets to combine with bottom-up analysis of individual financial entities
  • Implement trades and generate orders as required by the business across various asset classes, not solely limited to fixed income, including derivatives, futures, and FX
  • As required, write and edit external economic and investment newsletters and other materials distributed through the company web-site, marketing programs and directly to clients
  • Help manage individual discretionary accounts alongside other members of the LOMAM team
  • Prepare presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders in relation to market outlooks, product overviews or investment reports
  • A participating member in the firm’s Investment Policy Committee (IPC.), providing analysis and opinions that factor into the investment process across mutual funds and individual mandates
  • Monitoring discretionary and mutual fund performance and write quarterly fund updates for distribution to clients and on our website
  • Run reporting on quarterly basis for clients and occasionally ad hoc requests for reporting or simulation for potential clients
  • Assist with the coaching, development and mentoring of less experienced colleagues, whilst supporting the other portfolio managers in all aspects of their role
  • Any other duties that might be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Must have at least five years of portfolio, asset or fund management experience
  • CFA level 3+ qualified
  • Experience within wealth management structuring, performance measurement, financial planning, long-term relationship management and dealing with an international clientele
  • Knowledge of all investment products in all asset classes
