In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future Industrial Flow portfolio within Alfa Laval. You will work at the intersection of market, sales companies, and technology, with responsibility for understanding industry needs and translating them into clear product and portfolio directions. The role combines strategic analysis with hands-on portfolio development, guiding product development, acquisitions, and launch priorities. Your focus will be to identify gaps and opportunities in the current offering, define the way forward for Industrial Flow, and ensure that product and application meet real industrial demands. You will help build a competitive, future-ready portfolio that supports Alfa Laval’s long-term growth ambitions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and analyze the competitiveness of the product and service portfolio from a customer, application, and industry perspective
  • Identify portfolio gaps and define needs for technology development, new product development and product renovation
  • Translate market, customer, and application requirements into clear product and portfolio directions
  • Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure strong application fits across the portfolio
  • Define launch strategies and priorities
  • Own and drive the portfolio roadmap and prioritization, ensuring alignment with Industrial Flow strategy and business objectives

Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid experience in process engineering within the industrial food industry or similar sectors (e.g., pulp & paper, general manufacturing)
  • Experience in product or portfolio management, including roadmap planning, launch strategies, or cross-functional decision-making, is highly valued
  • Hands-on experience with industrial pumps and/or other fluid handling equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer needs into product specifications, portfolio priorities, and development directions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive initiatives forward, and contribute to building a growing business
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English, written and spoken
