The Portfolio Lead provides programmatic and operational leadership across a portfolio of technical task orders, ensuring successful execution of contract requirements and alignment with customer mission objectives. This role serves as a key interface between government stakeholders, technical teams, the program management office and corporate leadership. The Portfolio Lead is responsible for managing portfolio delivery across scope, cost, and schedule, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The position also oversees staffing, personnel management, operational coordination, and process improvements to support mission success.
Job Responsibility:
Provide oversight and coordination across a portfolio of technical task orders supporting government programs
Ensure successful delivery of contract requirements within scope, cost, and schedule constraints
Monitor performance metrics and proactively address risks, issues, and operational challenges
Align program execution with the customer’s strategic objectives and mission priorities
Serve as a key interface between the company and government stakeholders
Build and maintain trusted relationships with program leadership and mission partners
Lead program status reviews, briefings, and operational coordination meetings
Ensure transparency and responsiveness to customer needs and evolving mission requirements
Oversee preparation and delivery of program deliverables
Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements, quality standards, and schedule commitments
Coordinate across technical leads and project managers to maintain consistency and quality across task orders
Lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering services across the portfolio
Address personnel performance issues and provide mentorship and leadership to team members
Promote a collaborative and mission-focused team environment
Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to identify staffing needs
Support recruitment activities including requirements definition, candidate evaluation, and interviews
Coordinate onboarding and integration of new personnel into the program
Manage operational activities necessary to support program execution, including: Training coordination
Travel planning
Materials and equipment procurement
Ensure resources are effectively aligned with program needs
Monitor portfolio budgets, labor utilization, and financial performance
Support financial forecasting, reporting, and contract performance reviews
Ensure program activities remain aligned with funding constraints and contractual requirements
Partner with technical leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and operational efficiencies
Implement best practices to improve delivery, collaboration, and mission impact
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience supporting federal government programs, contracts, or technical service delivery
Demonstrated experience managing multiple task orders, projects, or service delivery teams within a contract portfolio
Experience working directly with government program offices and senior stakeholders
Experience supporting staffing, hiring, and personnel management activities
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced mission environment
Willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations
Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
