Job Description:

The Portfolio Finance Trader will be responsible for managing the firm's financing requirements across key products in the APAC region. This high-impact role requires the ability to consume large volumes of trading information, distill it into actionable strategy, and act quickly under dynamic market conditions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Executing and managing large volumes of financing activity through systematic and high-touch processes
  • Leveraging counterparty relationships to strategically source hard-to-borrow inventory
  • Managing the entire financing trade lifecycle: rerates, recalls, buy-ins, returns, and refinancing opportunities
  • Identifying and executing on optimization opportunities to enhance P&L
  • Performing essential functions like FX hedging on the firm's currency exposure
  • Collaborating with internal teams (Technology, Trading) to drive day-to-day process efficiencies
  • Delta One Desk trading through high-touch and constant counterparty and internal trading desk interactions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a Quantitative field
  • 3-7 years of relevant professional experience in front-office trading
  • Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments (e.g., Prime Brokerage, Swaps, Listed Derivatives, and FX), including associated financing, margin, and risks
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a highly complex and dynamic environment, maintaining high ethical standards
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for managing internal and external relationships
  • In-depth understanding of market structure and regulatory rules across APAC markets
  • Python coding skills or demonstrated technical ability to develop tools and custom libraries
