Job Description

Admiral Data and Technology has a long history of supporting business innovation and bringing new products to market. We continue to build on our core systems, driving technical excellence through cloud adoption, big data technologies, and enhanced digital offerings. The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) supports this vision by enabling leadership to make informed decisions and empowering delivery teams to implement high-quality changes with leaner governance. We are seeking a hands-on, analytical Portfolio Analyst with experience in portfolio management and a passion for innovation. You will join the EUI Enterprise Portfolio Office’s Portfolio Insights Team, working closely with senior leadership to deliver key metrics and insights across a complex, multimillion-pound change portfolio. Your work will support transformational programmes, drive value, optimise resources, and inform critical decisions; all while minimising portfolio risk. You will use your technical skills to produce insightful dashboards and management information (MI) data, helping shape our ways of working and the value of our services.

Job Responsibility

  • Report on, analyse, and drive insights for our multi-million-pound change investment portfolio, ensuring data quality aligned to strategy, metrics, outcomes, and key results (OKRs)
  • Build and maintain engaging reporting dashboards using complex datasets about portfolio delivery, performance, and governance
  • Provide consulting company-wide on tooling adoption and capability, looking for opportunities for automation and standardisation
  • Identify tooling development and configuration opportunities across the enterprise
  • Support the development of our tooling strategy, identifying opportunities for waste reduction, automation, and process simplification
  • Drive high-quality data practices in planning, budgeting, and financial management
  • Participate in a community of practice to continuously upskill, peer review, and share best practices
  • Facilitate effective working relationships and empower team members, upholding a professional code of conduct and ethics
  • Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to provide MI that enables timely, high-quality decision-making
  • Identify critical dependencies and synchronise the portfolio
  • Champion continuous improvement within the PMO, leading process improvement and problem-solving activities
  • Build relationships and maintain contacts across diverse backgrounds and disciplines, adapting communication style to suit different audiences

Requirements

  • Experience in data analysis, ideally in a hands-on PMO role
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Significant experience with Jira and Confluence, ideally at administrator level
  • Demonstrable data visualisation skills
  • Evidence of influencing ways of working with tooling and data
  • Proficiency with portfolio management tools and practices, with a drive to improve ways of working and deliver value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality data inputs for accurate reporting and insights

Nice to have

  • Experience managing a change portfolio and developing dashboards for governance forums is desirable
  • Familiarity with hybrid delivery models and various governance approaches is an advantage

What we offer

  • Eligible for up to £3,600 of free shares each year after one year of service
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) when they join us, increasing the longer you stay with us, up to a maximum of 38 days (including bank holidays)
  • Option to buy or sell up to an additional five days of annual leave
