Job Description:

A leading insurer is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join their high-profile Portfolio Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a range of underwriting divisions, with an initial focus on Specialty Lines such as War & Terror, Fine Art, Equine, Contingency and A&H.

Job Responsibility:

Support the coordination of underwriting activity across multiple divisions
Work closely with Portfolio Managers to deliver strategic initiatives and drive portfolio performance
Produce high-quality MI, reporting and analytics for underwriters and leadership
Analyse data to check accuracy, identify trends and contribute to business plan forecasting
Assist with revenue reporting, portfolio optimisation and remediation activity
Help prepare for key governance meetings, quarterly reviews and underwriting strategy away days
Act as a first point of contact for internal queries and represent Portfolio Managers when required
Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Risk, Compliance and other key functions
Ensure accurate and timely data for planning, reinsurance reporting and internal reviews
Support junior team members with coaching and day-to-day guidance

Requirements:

Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with data, checks, and analysis)
Highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of the insurance market
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
