Job Description

Portfolio Administrator position with a highly successful investment management firm located in Newton, MA. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of daily cash movements while supporting key operational workflows.

Job Responsibility

  • Process, monitor, and reconcile client-directed cash activity across multiple accounts and custodians on a daily basis
  • Partner with internal teams (onshore and offshore) and external counterparties to ensure accurate and timely contributions, withdrawals, and other cash movements
  • Investigate and resolve cash breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions promptly
  • Support operational controls and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards
  • Identify processes requiring new or updated procedures and independently draft documentation for review
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and workflow enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required
  • 1-2+ years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, or a related function
  • Prior operations experience at an asset manager or custodian is required
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in reconciliation and transaction processing
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with cash flow processing strongly preferred
  • Exposure to offshore operations is a plus
