Job Responsibility:
Leadership & Development: Oversee, mentor, and motivate a large team of porters and supervisors, ensuring high standards of performance and professional conduct
Operational Efficiency: Manage complex rotas and resource allocation to meet the 24/7 demands of a major healthcare site
KPI Management: Monitor and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring response times and safety protocols are consistently met
Health & Safety: Maintain a rigorous focus on Manual Handling, Infection Control, and COSHH regulations
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for hospital clinical staff and trust management to ensure seamless service integration
Requirements:
Proven Experience: A strong background in facilities management, logistics, or hospitality, ideally within a healthcare or high-footfall public environment
People Power: Demonstrated experience managing large, diverse teams (50+ staff) including recruitment, disciplinary procedures, and training
Cool Under Pressure: The ability to make quick, logical decisions in a critical care environment where priorities shift by the minute
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using task management software and digital radio systems to track team movements and efficiency
