Vehicle porters are primarily responsible for moving and parking vehicles in the NHQ parking lot to accommodate the needs of Vehicle Administration representatives, employee customers, and other VIP visitors. They may conduct light vehicle maintenance, such as interior cleaning, exterior washing, and organizational tasks like installing license plate brackets, placing stickers or tags on cars. Vehicle Administration porters drive new cars to and from the NHQ parking structure and ensure vehicles are in tip-top shape for handing off the keys. Other routine responsibilities include keeping tabs on cars’ locations in the parking structure. Vehicle Administration porter jobs are entry-level, include on-the-job training. Auto porters work at NHQ and spend a lot of time outside (regardless of weather conditions)
Job Responsibility:
Moving and parking vehicles in the NHQ parking lot to accommodate the needs of Vehicle Administration representatives, employee customers, and other VIP visitors
Conduct light vehicle maintenance, such as interior cleaning, exterior washing, and organizational tasks like installing license plate brackets, placing stickers or tags on cars
Drive new cars to and from the NHQ parking structure and ensure vehicles are in tip-top shape for handing off the keys
Keeping tabs on cars’ locations in the parking structure
Manage vehicle flow in our Vehicle Administration assigned parking areas, National Service Garage (NSG), and the general parking lot
Work with the onsite Vehicle Administration Led to complete tasks such as keeping track of key tasks, cleaning cars, driving vehicles from the NSG/Vehicle Administration areas, following Vehicle Administration driving standards, fielding Vehicle Administration team requests, filing documents during downtime, driving errands and other assigned duties
Support the Vehicle Administration management with special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of automotive porter background is preferred
Worked in an automotive/dealership environment for a minimum of 6-12 months is preferred
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required
Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook is required
The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Full professional proficiency in English is required
Minimum professional proficiency in Spanish is preferred
