The primary responsibility of a Porter is to clean dishes, kitchen equipment, and maintain orderly work areas as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Clean dishes, kitchen equipment, and maintain orderly work areas
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas
Clear tables after guests leave
Takes tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
Wash all china, glass and silverware
Clean all equipment, pots and pans
Store all equipment in proper locations
Sweep and mop all floors in the kitchen
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Attend mandatory meetings
Perform all assigned side work
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Ability to work all Venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training
