Job Description:

The Porter will be working in a mid to large volume facility. In this position, the porter will keep the building and property in a clean and orderly condition.

Job Responsibility:

Perform routine custodial duties to include sweeping, mopping and potentially vacuuming floors
empty production trash receptacles and dispose trash into compactors and/or dumpsters
clean spills as appropriate
deep clean floor level reserve locations as scheduled
deep clean other areas and equipment as assigned
maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances and outside areas
disinfect all surfaces as assigned
wash windows
maintain inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
report any needs or concerns to the appropriate staff
maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
perform other duties as requested by the department lead/supervisor and or manager

Requirements:

Good written and verbal communication skills
ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally
ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop on a continuous basis
ability to frequently and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally to 75 pounds with assistants
ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
must be certified or have ability to be certified on all equipment needed to complete job tasks
able to work within a team and work independently with minimal supervision to complete assignments within established schedules and deadlines
colleague must be currently meeting or exceeding in all performance areas (productivity, quality, attendance, safety, teamwork)
must be able to work overtime as required to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule
