Job Responsibility:
Cleans equipment, utensils, pots and pans, and work areas including floors and walls
Handles supplies in a food service department
Picks up used dishes from counter areas and tables
Prepares items for washing by scraping and pre-rinsing
Washes by machine or by hand silver, china, glasses and/or pots and pans
Replenishes milk supply
Transports supplies, equipment, and materials
Unpacks stock
May help serve on counter or perform other duties in food service area
Maintains prescribed sanitation standards
Cleans machines and kitchen equipment
Washes floors and walls
May wax floors
May clean windows and do other general cleaning
Performs other duties as directed
Requirements:
Ability to work compatibly in a food service atmosphere
Physical ability to stand and walk short distances most of the working day
Physical ability to reach for, lift, and carry various materials
Physical ability to perform light and heavy cleaning
