Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Portal Solutions Architect to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of customer-facing web platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Based in Melville, New York, this position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in modern application architecture and cloud technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and oversee the technical architecture for web-based platforms, ensuring alignment with business requirements
  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external partners
  • Guide the creation and implementation of secure and scalable cloud-based solutions, with a preference for Microsoft Azure
  • Evaluate and make decisions on frontend and backend technologies, including frameworks like React and ASP.NET
  • Ensure seamless integration of APIs and modern web application components
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review designs and offer expert recommendations
  • Monitor and support the performance and maintenance of web applications
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for improvements in web solution architecture
  • Implement best practices for application security, scalability, and reliability
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in application and cloud technologies to enhance solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering web-based solutions and leading architectural designs
  • Proven expertise in modern web application frameworks, including React and backend technologies
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and their integration into web platforms
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, for developing scalable solutions
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET and .NET frameworks
  • Proficiency in API development and application architecture
