The Pool Technician ensures that all resort pools, spas, and water features meet Hyatt’s high standards for safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This role is essential in supporting the serene and joyful atmosphere that our guests expect at Tamaya.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct daily testing, balancing, and documenting of pool and spa water chemistry
Maintain pumps, heaters, filters, chemical feeders, and all aquatic mechanical systems
Inspect pool equipment and promptly report any issues
Monitor water clarity and cleanliness across three pools, whirlpool, waterslide, waterfall, and multiple fountains
Perform routine cleaning of pool decks, drains, and surrounding areas
Ensure compliance with local/state health codes and Hyatt brand standards
Respond quickly to guest or staff concerns related to pool areas
Collaborate with Recreation to support daily activities and ensure an exceptional guest pool experience
Maintain accurate logs for chemical readings, inspections, and repairs
Troubleshoot problems
Requirements:
Previous experience as a pool technician or similar facilities role preferred
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred
ability to obtain required
Basic understanding of pool equipment, chemistry, and water safety
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safety
Positive attitude and dedication to delivering service excellence
