Job Responsibility:
Serve cocktails and food to guests in a personable, courteous and professional manner
Be familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette
Greet guest within one minute of seating
Take beverage and food orders
Know all menu items including ingredients, preparation, required condiments
Have a strong working knowledge of the micros ordering system
Be aware of all liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages
Know all spirited beverages available
Obtain service report from micros system and finalize all transactions
Complete requisition for required paper goods, beverage supplies and perishable items
Prepare own drinks and garnish to standard recipes
Ensure all pool tables, chairs, and cabanas in service are clean and orderly
Maintain cleanliness of tables and chairs
Remove empty glassware and dirty dishware promptly
Reset tables after guests depart
Keep cigarette pails clean
Check side duty list for opening and closing procedures
Be familiar with emergency safety measures including CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver and fire evacuation procedures
Determine gratuity distribution according to set department standards
Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions
Present check to guest and finalize
Service guests poolside without assistance during typical service demand
Requirements:
Previous food and beverage experience preferred
Excellent physical condition in order to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for a prolonged period of time
Able to work outdoors in inclement weather when necessary
Sincere desire to provide the utmost in guest service
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Well-groomed appearance according to company standards
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must adhere to practices of occupational safety and health including wearing personal protective equipment when required
Must have completed County & State Liquor training
