Job Description

Our upbeat and casual Bayfront restaurant Redfish Grill, Tarpon Bar and Bayview Pool offer spectacular waterfront views of Pine Island Sound while creating memorable dining experiences for our owners and guests. Live Music and Weekly Special Events create the vibe for this venue. Bring your talents in service and upselling the best food and beverage offerings on the Island. Restaurant Servers will greet and serve guests in accordance with South Seas standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, and in a gracious and professional manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform direct communication and hospitality procedures with all guests daily
  • Pre-shifts with fellow staff and management for all restaurant operations
  • Properly set all tables and stations
  • follow appropriate set-up checklist
  • take guest orders
  • Serve all food and beverage items in a timely manner
  • Proper treatment and storage of food and company equipment
  • Complete daily shift operation report
  • Communicate all special guest requests to kitchen
  • Detail every table and menu before each meal period
  • Assist with bussing tables "pre-bussing"
  • Must have understanding on how to read and execute a Restaurant BEO form
  • Possess thorough food, wine and cocktail menu knowledge
  • Exercise a positive attitude and warm hospitality image
  • Follow associate schedule and work assignments
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred
  • 6 months experience with a background with serving, basic bartending, cashiering is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
  • Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations)
  • Fluent in English language
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able work in different types of extreme weather, including high temperatures
