Job Description:

Seasonal Pool Server position at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. The role involves serving guests at the resort-style pool, providing exceptional food and beverage service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods
  • Offer interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • coordinate food timings
  • check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
  • transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • process cash and credit card payments
  • properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
  • Offer pre-determined menu selections to each guest
  • maintain knowledge of each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method
  • communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the F&B Manager and/or kitchen
  • check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
  • transport items to the guest table/ guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware
  • respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards
  • Stock linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service
  • assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
  • respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Set-up, decorate, clean, breakdown tables and food stations
  • Assist the needs of all guests in the function room providing them with reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic service
  • Maintain the cleanliness in the pool area
  • Respond properly and quickly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service
  • ensure that guest corridors and service landings are free from tray tables and debris

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years’ food service experience
  • Server experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MICROS preferred
  • One to two years’ experience working in Food & Beverage preferred
  • Food Handlers Certifications required
  • Work authorization in the United States
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
