Seasonal Pool Server position at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. The role involves serving guests at the resort-style pool, providing exceptional food and beverage service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Job Responsibility:
Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods
Offer interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods
communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
coordinate food timings
check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
Properly and accurately close guest checks
process cash and credit card payments
properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
Offer pre-determined menu selections to each guest
maintain knowledge of each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method
communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the F&B Manager and/or kitchen
check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
transport items to the guest table/ guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware
respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards
Stock linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service
assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Set-up, decorate, clean, breakdown tables and food stations
Assist the needs of all guests in the function room providing them with reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic service
Maintain the cleanliness in the pool area
Respond properly and quickly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service
ensure that guest corridors and service landings are free from tray tables and debris
Requirements:
Minimum two years’ food service experience
Server experience preferred
Knowledge of MICROS preferred
One to two years’ experience working in Food & Beverage preferred
Food Handlers Certifications required
Work authorization in the United States
Ability to carry and balance a tray
Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
