Pool Assistant

• Assist the Level 2 Swimming Teacher in delivering structured and enjoyable swimming lessons
• Provide in-water support to help participants with technique and confidence
• Prepare equipment and ensure the teaching area is safe and ready for use
• Support learners individually or in small groups during sessions
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all swimmers
• Observe and report learner progress and behaviour to the Swimming Teacher
• To assist with the emergency evacuation of the pool, as directed by the Swimming Teacher, for example in the event of a fire alarm activation
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Attend training and team meetings as required
• Provide a safe, informative, fun and productive lesson
• Be fully aware of the Centre's Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Procedures
• Uphold the expected standards, behaviours, and values of Horizon
• As a Level 1 Swim Teacher, you will teach swimming following the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework

• Excellent Communication skills for all ages and abilities
• Energetic and passionate to meet all swimmers needs and goals

• Level 1 certificate in swim teaching (Desirable)
