We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the Operations department at our Castleblayney site in Ireland. As the Polymer Apprentice you will be working as part of the Technical Processing Team, reacting to, and resolving day-to-day issues, working closely with other departments and production lines to identify opportunities to improve processing reliability, safety, and product quality with an overall view to maintaining the world-class levels of manufacturing. You will develop technical polymer knowledge and gain practical experience in the workplace, alongside completing a professional technical qualification (Level 7 NFQ). This is a blended combination of on-the-job employer-based learning and off-the-job learning. The apprenticeship is for 3 years, in which you will be employed by Kingspan Insulation and receive a competitive salary package. On successful completion of this programme, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Polymer Processing Technology.

Requirements
Minimum Leaving Certificate requirements for entry into the programme is a pass (Grade O6/H7 or better) in five Leaving Certificate subjects or equivalent. Two of these subjects must be Maths and a language (English or Irish)
Minimum age 18 years old from start date
Ability to follow instruction and production schedules
Flexible and willing to be trained across multiple departments and areas as needed
Computer literate
Be a good team player with a "Can do attitude"
Ability to act quickly when problems arise

Leaving certificate grade, A – C in Chemistry / Physics
