Policy Manager, Korea

• Develop and implement Airbnb’s legislative and public policy objectives, including helping determine advocacy priorities, positions, and strategies
• Review legislative language, draft comments, and research issues to provide analysis and critical thinking on legislation affecting Airbnb’s priorities
• Maintain relationships with an extensive network of contacts in local, regional, and national legislative, executive, and administrative offices, as well as with allied groups and coalition partners
• Represent Airbnb in meetings with government and elected officials, as well as industry associations, Airbnb hosts, and other stakeholders
• Manage consultants and agencies to support campaign plans
• Ensure progress is reported accurately and regularly, and roadblocks are flagged in a timely fashion
• Work closely with cross-functional partners to make sure that policy plans fit with business priorities
• Monitor and track legislation and regulatory matters as directed
• Support as needed to help implement Airbnb’s legislative and public policy activities
• Lead strategic engagement with the National Assembly, ministries, regulators, and policy stakeholders
• Define stakeholder strategies and engagement priorities aligned with business and policy objectives
• Drive initiatives from concept through delivery, including planning, sequencing, internal alignment, and external follow-through
• Exercise sound judgment in external communications, commitments, and escalation management in sensitive policy environments
• Maintain structured engagement with local district offices, ensuring commitments are realistic, messaging is consistent, and execution is disciplined
• Anticipate political dynamics, timing risks, and stakeholder sensitivities and translate them into clear recommendations for leadership
• Produce concise, decision-ready briefing materials, meeting readouts, and leadership updates

• 8+years experience working with policy issues in a relevant business, political, governmental, legislative or regulatory context
• Background in the National Assembly, central government, or equivalent policy-facing role preferred
• Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex technical and regulatory issues
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and navigate a complex matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• planning, memo-writing and budgeting/basic accounting skills with proficiency in major computer applications
