Job Responsibility
Supporting the Head of Policy & Standards in overseeing the work of the department
Leading the development and implementation of a range of strategic policy and standards projects
Supervising and coaching direct reports and team members
Effectively engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Undertaking research to support members of Council and the senior leadership team when needed
Continuously monitoring risks within the policy department and wider organisation, escalating if necessary
Representing the HCPC at external events and collaborating with the Communications Department to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Good knowledge of policy and public affairs with the ability to develop clear reports and strategic policy positions
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at various levels of seniority
Experience in leadership and coaching direct reports
