Your mission is to pivot the policy function from a reactive unit into a proactive Research & Development domain. Reporting to the Head of Integrity & News Ops, you will define the standards that ensure marketplace health, balancing network integrity with aggressive commercial growth. Job Responsibility:
Develop dual-sided standards for Supply (Publishers) and Demand (Advertisers) to maximize liquidity and safety
Drive Policy Innovation: Partner with Product and R&D to embed policy requirements directly into the product lifecycle for automated scalability
Lead Horizon Scanning: Research emerging risks and opportunities, specifically regarding the EU AI Act, AI-generated content, and deepfake technology
Enable Business Growth: Serve as the primary consultant for Sales and Business Development, navigating “gray area” opportunities with a creative, business-first mindset
Industry Advocacy: Represent the company in high-stakes discussions with Tier-1 partners (Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo) and industry bodies like the IAB and TAG
Executive Advisory: Translate complex policy landscapes into clear business trade-offs for senior leadership
Requirements:
10+ years in the advertising technology ecosystem, with deep fluency in technical infrastructure (OpenRTB, SSP/DSP dynamics) and marketplace economics
Executive Presence: Proven ability to influence C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, defending policy decisions through the lens of long-term business value
Commercial Acumen: You view policy as a business lever and can balance advertiser success with the overall health and reputation of the network
Analytical Leadership: A track record of moving teams from “clearing queues” to “generating insights” with a strong bias toward automation
Strategic Foresight: Ability to anticipate regulatory shifts and translate them into commercial opportunities
Nice to have:
An MBA, JD, or Master’s in Economics or Public Policy
Experience in high-growth tech environments or “Policy-as-Code” implementation
