Policy Coordinator | Cannon Hill 6-Month Temp Contract | Immediate Start $42.70 per hour + Super Located in Brisbane's Southside, this is a 6-month temporary contract in the Early Learning space. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive head office environment, with a possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. As a Policy Coordinator, you will be the custodian of the operational standards. You will support the leadership team by overseeing the review, organisation and updating of key policies and procedures, ensuring that the Childcare centers remain compliant and excel in service delivery. This role is perfect for a methodical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys the nuts and bolts of corporate governance in Childcare and high-level administration.

Job Responsibility:

  • Policy Review: Reviewing, and updating internal policies to ensure they align with National Quality Standards (NQS) and legislative requirements
  • Compliance Monitoring: Auditing existing procedures to identify gaps and working with stakeholders to implement corrective actions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with center managers and department heads to ensure policies are practical, understood, and consistently applied
  • Document Control: Maintaining a centralised and organised version-controlled library of all organisational documents and manuals
  • Reporting: Preparing summaries and briefings for the executive team regarding policy changes or compliance trends
  • Implementation Support: Assisting in the rollout of new initiatives or regulatory changes across the network

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in Policy Coordination, Governance, Compliance, or a high-level Project Administration role
  • Analytical Mindset: An ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into clear, actionable internal procedures
  • Communication: Exceptional written communication skills with a knack for technical writing and professional formatting
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eagle eye for consistency, grammar, and regulatory nuances
  • Organisational Skills: High-level time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience within Early Childhood Education or a highly regulated industry is highly regarded but not essential
