Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of all risk and compliance policies—drafting, reviewing, updating, and ensuring they remain aligned to strategy and regulation
  • Coordinate and run quarterly ERCC meetings, preparing agendas, drafting papers, managing committee packs, capturing minutes, and tracking actions with senior stakeholders
  • Manage governance activities required under the Shareholder Agreement, ensuring reporting is timely, accurate, and appropriately approved
  • Oversee the operation of Risk & Control Forums, maintaining a clear map of formal and informal governance bodies and supporting colleagues to work towards the future combined governance model
  • Run the Policy Governance Framework, guiding policy owners, supporting self-assessments, delivering training where needed, and ensuring ERCC and ARC submissions are completed to a high standard
  • Act as the subject matter expert for policy management, making sure policies are easy to understand, accessible, and consistently applied across the organisation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks, ensuring governance arrangements evolve in step with the external environment
  • Support and influence senior leaders across the business to drive strong governance, transparent decision‑making, and continuous improvement in all processes

Requirements

  • Experience in risk, compliance, governance, or regulatory roles within a regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of policy frameworks, governance principles, regulatory obligations, and training practices
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to simplify complexity and work with senior leaders
  • Skilled at producing high‑quality committee papers, reports, and insights—including trends, indicators, and decision support
  • Comfortable offering constructive challenge and strengthening governance in strategic conversations
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience driving operational excellence, reducing pain points, and improving processes
  • Able to build relationships and positively influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Curious, proactive, willing to learn, and motivated by problem‑solving
