Requirements:
United States High School Graduate, G.E.D., or California High School Proficiency Examination, or two-year, four-year, or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
Must be at least 20 years old when taking the examination and at least 21 years of age by the time of appointment
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license
Must NOT have been convicted of a felony, an offense involving domestic violence, any misdemeanor that carries a penalty of prohibiting ownership, possession or control of a firearm, or restricted from employment with the City and County of San Francisco
Must pass a background investigation
Must pass a written exam (FrontLine National Law Enforcement Examination or California PELLETB Exam) or have a Bachelor's degree or higher for waiver
Must pass a Physical Ability Test
Must pass an Oral Interview
