Job Description:

The town of Harvard Police department is currently accepting applications for one full-time police officer position. This is a full-time, benefited position on a 4/2 shift schedule.

Requirements:

  • Completion of full-time Police Academy (MPTC recruit academy graduate) or SSPO Academy or completed the Massachusetts Bridge Academy and be eligible for a waiver from the M.P.T.C. for having attended a certified police academy and meeting qualifications as set forth in 555 Code of Massachusetts Regulations 3.03
  • All Applicants must be certified to work as a full-time police officer by the Massachusetts P.O.S.T. Commission
  • High school diploma Minimum Requirement
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts or New Hampshire driver’s license (for NH residents) and have or be able to obtain a valid Massachusetts LTC (License to Carry)
  • All candidates must be able to certify under the new Massachusetts POST (Police Officer Standards and Training) standards and must reside within 20 miles of the town
