Job Responsibility

  • Customer technical leadership: serve as the senior China PAE technical focal for the MI455 program
  • establish engagement rhythm, technical priorities, and execution plan with clear owners and timelines
  • System bring-up & validation enablement: support early hardware/software bring-up, readiness reviews, and validation planning across platform domains (HW, FW, OS/driver, power/thermal, RAS, serviceability) to ensure smooth customer and ODM progress
  • Design reviews & integration guidance: review customer/ODM designs and integration approach
  • identify risks and gaps early and drive closure actions with the right AMD domain teams
  • Issue triage and L1 debug leadership: lead problem definition, data collection, reproduction strategy, and initial triage for complex system issues
  • coordinate escalation to L2/domain experts and track issues to verified resolution
  • Cross-functional orchestration: align and drive execution across global engineering, program management, quality, support, and partner teams to meet program milestones and unblock customer deployment
  • Customer communication & governance: run technical reviews and issue scrub meetings
  • provide clear, executive-ready status (top issues, risks, mitigation, next milestones) and maintain crisp documentation of decisions and action items
  • Enablement & knowledge transfer: deliver customer/ODM trainings on AMD collateral, tools, bring-up/validation methodologies, and troubleshooting best practices
  • identify documentation gaps and drive updates with internal owners
  • ODM build & manufacturing support: support pilot builds and ramp readiness
  • advise on manufacturing screens/tests, firmware provisioning, service procedures, and field handling to enable stable production and deployment
  • Sustaining support: support post-launch issues and update adoption (e.g., firmware/software packages)
  • help customers evaluate fixes, manage rollout risk, and ensure operational readiness
  • Voice of the customer: consolidate customer feedback into actionable asks for AMD (product gaps, tooling needs, reliability/serviceability improvements) and drive prioritization through the appropriate channels

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • equivalent practical experience considered
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in server / accelerator / data center platform engineering, product application engineering, systems integration, or customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong system-level debugging and triage skills across HW/FW/OS interactions (e.g., platform bring-up, stability issues, I/O, power/thermal interactions)
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data center server platforms and rack integration topics (power delivery, liquid cooling concepts, serviceability/FRU practices, manufacturing bring-up)
  • Ability to lead technical execution across multiple stakeholders and time zones
  • proven experience driving issues to closure with clear communication and disciplined tracking
  • Fluent in Mandarin and able to work effectively in English in global engineering discussions (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and ODM factories as required by program milestones and escalations
