To lead, plan, and execute turnaround, shutdown, and maintenance projects safely, efficiently, and within budget while ensuring compliance with client specifications, quality standards, and company objectives. The Project Manager / Project Leader is accountable for overall project delivery — from mobilization to demobilization — ensuring seamless coordination between site teams, clients, and internal departments.
Job Responsibility:
Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and manpower/equipment deployment plans in coordination with the Planning Department
Lead project kickoff meetings, risk assessments, and readiness reviews before site mobilization
Oversee project execution ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule commitments
Manage daily progress, address bottlenecks proactively, and ensure resource optimization
Coordinate with maintenance, equipment, and procurement teams for timely availability of materials and tools
Act as the primary point of contact between Expertise and the client for all project-related communications
Conduct daily and weekly progress meetings with client representatives and internal teams
Ensure timely submission of daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation
Manage change orders, variation requests, and additional scope approvals in coordination with the Contracts Department
Ensure the project is executed within approved budget and contractual terms
Track and control project expenses, manpower productivity, and equipment utilization
Implement effective cost-control measures and monitor project profitability
Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans, and documentation requirements
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements
Conduct toolbox talks, safety walkdowns, and incident reviews as required
Collaborate with the Safety Department to close out corrective and preventive actions promptly
Lead, guide, and motivate the project execution team including engineers, supervisors, and technicians
Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Identify skill gaps and recommend training for team competency enhancement
Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, manpower logs, and cost records
Submit project close-out reports with lessons learned, productivity analysis, and financial summaries
Coordinate with the Planning and Finance Departments for project completion certificates and invoicing support
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
12–15 years of experience in turnaround, maintenance, or construction projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
Previous experience in refinery, fertilizer, or major petrochemical plant projects preferred
