Job Description

We are currently searching for a PMO Specialist to work on a leading CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) project with significant societal impact as an internal consultant. The PMO Specialist will directly contribute to improving decision-making, governance, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary and organizationally complex environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as an internal consultant and advisor to the Project Director, Managing Director, and Leadership Team on governance, decision-making, and project control
  • Design, monitor, and continuously improve project and decision-making processes, focusing on decision quality, consistency, and timeliness
  • Identify, analyse, and escalate critical decision points to management and the steering committee
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and consolidation of input from technical, financial, contractual, and operational disciplines
  • Prepare and structure Steering Committee and Leadership Team meetings, including agendas, decision papers, scenario analyses, and progress reports
  • Advise on interdependencies, risks, and coherence across workstreams
  • Ensure proper documentation, transparency, and follow-up of decisions and action items
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and accessible documentation (e.g., via SharePoint)
  • Initiate and support improvements in PMO and governance processes within the project

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO), preferably in business administration, project management, engineering, or finance
  • 5–7 years of experience in a PMO role, internal consultancy, project control, or a similar advisory position
  • Experience in large, complex technical or infrastructure projects is a plus
  • Proven experience with governance, decision-making, and reporting structures
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex information into clear decision materials
  • Confident and independent advisor to senior stakeholders
  • proactive and consultative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint
