PMO / Project Delivery Lead is required to Drive Strategic Project Maturity and Deliver Complex Digital Programs based in the South Eastern Suburbs. PMO /Project Delivery Lead is currently required for a permanent role to provide senior leadership for the entire technology project portfolio, drive the adoption of its project delivery methodologies across a diverse and critical portfolio of technology and modernisation programs. This role is crucial for maturing the organisation’s project capabilities and embedding best practice.
Job Responsibility:
Establishing Project Governance: Taking ownership of the Project Management Framework (PMF), ensuring all technology projects and initiatives adhere to established standards, stages, and governance gates
Methodology Uplift: Establishing and driving the adoption of the core project delivery methodology (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) within the department, providing expert advice on process, tools, and best practice
Portfolio Oversight: Owning, managing, and reporting on the complete portfolio of technology projects to Senior Management, with a focus on risk assessment, dependency mapping, and quality assurance
Team Leadership: Coordinating and leading a small team of project specialists (including Senior IT Project Manager and Systems Analyst), providing strategic coaching and mentorship to build capability
Requirements:
Experienced PMO/Project Delivery Lead
Experience in implementing project management methodologies and governance
Previous experience managing projects
Excellent vendor, team leadership and stakeholder management skills
Project management certifications such as Prince 2, PMP would be highly regarded
