Job Description

PMO Manager Needed! I am currently supporting a London Markets Insurer who are long to bring on a PMO Manager to help support the Head of Change with ongoing programmes. The ideal candidate will have London Markets Insurance experience however General Insurance experience will also be considered. You will be required to go into the London office a 2/3 days a week. Base salary expectations circa £90-95k base + bonus + benefits.

Job Responsibility

  • Own day-to-day management of the International PMO, ensuring effective governance, controls, and delivery across the full project lifecycle
  • Lead the implementation of PMO strategy, processes, and change standards, working closely with programme and project managers to embed best practice
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and Finance to support strategic planning, financial analysis, stage-gate approvals, and portfolio reporting
  • Produce clear, consistent portfolio and governance reporting, including RAG status, remediation actions, and monthly Change Leadership Group materials

Requirements

  • Proven PMO leadership experience within Financial Services, including mentoring PMO team members and operating at portfolio level
  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), reporting tools, and PPM software implementation to streamline processes
  • Ability to mature PMO and portfolio capabilities, translate complex technical information clearly, and apply best-practice governance and controls
  • Relevant certifications (PMO/PMP/PRINCE2) beneficial, with added value from specialty insurance and lean management experience
