We are currently seeking a PMO Lead to establish and lead a Program/Project Management Office (PMO) ensuring project management rigor for a large-scale, multi-partner/multi-vendor effort. The PMO Lead will work alongside a Client Executive and Delivery Executive to communicate clear and consistent direction; provide transparency regarding progress and barriers to progress; effectively manage change; and achieve the necessary results.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the PMO and establish project management standards, tools, and processes
Own the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Operations Management Plan (OMP)
Oversee governance, reporting, escalation, and project methodologies
Ensure alignment across schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, and financials
Develop and mentor project managers and other PMO staff to ensure adherence to good/best practices and industry standards
Manage suppliers
Advise clients on appropriate course of action
Perform staff planning, assign work, and provide feedback to team members regarding performance
Work with executive leaders and project managers to resolve issues and ensure strong team performance and high client satisfaction
Conduct and facilitate team meetings on a regular basis
Ensure accurate time reporting by team members
Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, when applicable
Requirements:
10+ years of project-related experience, demonstrating progressively larger and broader program/project management and leadership responsibilities
10+ years of experience conducting reviews of documentation deliverables and recommending improvements based on industry-proven good/best practices
5+ years of experience establishing, leading, and growing a Program/Project Management Office (PMO) and/or comparable Industry Practice
5+ years of formal leadership experience
5+ years of experience using Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint)
Undergraduate degree in relevant field or additional 4 years relevant work experience
Nice to have:
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), strong organizational and time management skills, ability to lead and coach a cross-functional team
Experience managing contracts and financials following NTT DATA processes
Experience working in a multi-partner/multi-vendor project environment
Experience with Telecom or other large infrastructure projects
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience working in the state of California
Resides in California
