Job Description:

A countywide SEN trust is seeking PMLD Teaching Assistants to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties across several Northamptonshire sites. This full-time role starts ASAP and is ongoing. The role could be ongoing for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide holistic support including sensory learning and personal care
  • Assist with feeding, mobility, and medical routines
  • Use sensory resources to engage pupils
  • Work closely with nurses and therapists
  • Support communication through switches and sensory cues

Requirements:

  • Experience with PMLD or care essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – non negotiable
  • Two recent, relevant references – non negotiable
  • Training in medical or sensory needs beneficial
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable
