Job Description

Pink Tile Education are working in partnership with a fantastic specialist school in Portsmouth that supports children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs and physical disabilities. We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher to join the team from September on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who is looking to make a genuine difference in a highly rewarding and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A nurturing and patient approach
  • Experience of SEN, SEND, PMLD or complex needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A commitment to inclusive education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Utilise total communication frameworks (e.g., Makaton, PECS, AAC, and eye-gaze technology) to unlock expression in non-verbal learners
  • Oversee personal care, moving and handling, and sensory integration routines within the classroom, ensuring a safe and dignified environment
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech & Language Therapists
