Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated PM Operations Supervisor to join our team at our depot in Bundamba! As our PM Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient unloading of linehaul trailers and containers, and the effective unloading of PUD vehicles.

Job Responsibility

  • Maximise Efficiency: Ensure trailers and units are loaded to full capacity, distribute freight accurately, and oversee all unloading activities
  • Collaborate and Support: Work closely with the Depot Manager to address concerns related to revenue, loads, and site operations
  • Lead and Guide: Supervise PM Forklift Operators, Receiving Officers and General Hands, focusing on safety, scanning accuracy, and minimising freight damage
  • Monitor and Report: Keep a keen eye on revenue, load accuracy, costs, and service issues, and work towards providing effective solutions
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain safe load procedures, adherence to Chain of Responsibility, and ensure equipment and resource efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience within the freight industry
  • Current and valid Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Strong judgment skills with the ability to make firm and fair decisions
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Ability to achieve KPIs and targets, with a customer-centric approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good time management skills

  • Supervise all phases of the production process, including thawing, brining, smoking, cooling, and cutting.

  • Oversee the inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products, ensuring proper identification and traceability.
  • Maintain and periodically review production and quality documentation.
