Job Description:

Dalkia UK is seeking a qualified Plumber to join our team at Hunterston B, supporting our EDF contract. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing critical systems on site, contributing directly to the safe and efficient operation of the station.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and report progress to the Supervisor/Planner
  • Diagnose and resolve faults from reported issues and help desk requests
  • Deliver installations, upgrades, and modifications across the station
  • Ensure compliance with Client Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards
  • Support Legionella prevention measures (training provided)
  • Assist the Mechanical Supervisor with site measurements, material sourcing, and planning
  • Participate in relevant training to develop your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Qualified Plumber from any industry
  • Ability to adhere to the highest of H&S standards

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste disposal systems
  • Possesses a strong familiarity with plumbing codes, both nationally and locally
  • Position, align, cut, join and fuse pipes together using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering sealants or welding equipment
  • Measure distances, set elevations and install pipe to grade as defined in drawings and specifications
  • Practices preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment
  • Procures materials, tools and rental equipment at specified times to conform to work schedules
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, contractors, inspectors, material suppliers and/or equipment dealers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems
