Job Description:

Plumber position at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort responsible for maintaining pools, water features, and performing general plumbing work while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Clean, scrub scum lines, sweep, vacuum, wash down all pools, pool decks and decorative fountains
Clean pump strainers, sand filters, change cartridge filters, clean cartridge filters
Dump and fresh fill Jacuzzis and hot tubs as required
Mix chemicals, top off chemical mix tanks
Read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets
Assist in maintaining all water features on property
Assist in repairing rotating and stationary equipment related to water features or swimming pools
Carry out general plumbing works on site
Conduct water chemical and water meter readings and make entries into logs
Act as back-up for the pool mechanic
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Address guests' service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Develop and maintain positive working relationships

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
Experience in Plumbing and Pool operations
Ability to clean, scrub scum lines, sweep, vacuum, wash down pools, pool decks and decorative fountains
Knowledge of cleaning pump strainers, sand filters, changing cartridge filters
Ability to mix chemicals and top off chemical mix tanks
Knowledge of personal protective equipment
Ability to read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets
Ability to assist in maintaining water features and repairing rotating/stationary equipment
Ability to carry out general plumbing works
Ability to conduct water chemical and water meter readings
Physical ability to reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
