Job Description

We are seeking skilled and reliable Plumbers for an immediate start on a project in Newcastle. This is a temporary role lasting approximately 2 months. If you are looking for steady weekday work with great earning potential and no hassle travelling between jobs, this is the perfect project for you.

Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out full bathroom refits from strip-out to final handover
  • Installing, positioning, and connecting hot water cylinders and associated system components
  • Running new pipework (copper and plastic) and altering existing feeds for basin, toilet, bath, and shower positions
  • First and second-fixing of all sanitaryware, brassware, and wastes
  • Diagnosing and rectifying any initial system leaks during testing and commissioning
  • Ensuring all plumbing work is safe, functional, tidy, and compliant with building regulations

Requirements

  • Experience: Strong background in domestic plumbing, specifically bathroom refits and cylinder installations
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent time-served experience)
  • Availability: Ready for an immediate or near-immediate start

  • Possesses a strong familiarity with plumbing codes, both nationally and locally
  • Position, align, cut, join and fuse pipes together using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering sealants or welding equipment
  • Measure distances, set elevations and install pipe to grade as defined in drawings and specifications
  • Practices preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment
  • Procures materials, tools and rental equipment at specified times to conform to work schedules
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, contractors, inspectors, material suppliers and/or equipment dealers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems
