We have several openings for trade-qualified Plumbers to join the teams at Government Health Precincts in Herston and Chermside. If you're after a steady 38-hour week with a top-tier hourly rate, this is a great time to make the move into a more structured maintenance role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Looking after the maintenance and integrity of complex plumbing systems within high-standard health facilities
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance across large-scale medical sites
  • Fault finding and repairs on commercial plumbing systems
  • Keeping up with government safety and compliance standards

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualified: Cert III in Plumbing and a current QLD License
  • Experience: A solid background in commercial or facility maintenance

Nice to have:

  • TMV/Backflow endorsements
  • Restricted Electrical License

  • Possesses a strong familiarity with plumbing codes, both nationally and locally
  • Position, align, cut, join and fuse pipes together using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering sealants or welding equipment
  • Measure distances, set elevations and install pipe to grade as defined in drawings and specifications
  • Practices preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment
  • Procures materials, tools and rental equipment at specified times to conform to work schedules
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, contractors, inspectors, material suppliers and/or equipment dealers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems
