Plumber, Maintenance

• Provide plumbing and Liquid Fuels Maintenance for facilities and infrastructure
• Assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units and dishwashers
• Repair and maintain all plumbing by replacing components in leaky faucets, mixing valves, check valves and both manual and automatic flushometers
• Mend interior/exterior pipes such as PVC, PEX, copper, asbestos cement, cast iron, galvanized and black iron by soldering, appropriate clamps, threaded, push to connect and mechanical joint fittings
• Open clogged drains using plungers, manual and power snake machines
• Maintain all plumbing and pipe fitting systems and associated components according to Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC)
• Perform a variety of maintenance of repair of equipment and buildings
• Works with minimal supervision and guidance
• Read and decipher plumbing maps/blueprints to locate various plumbing devices
• Respond to service calls within allowable time frame
• Participate in Quality Control and Safety Program
• Adhere to Lockout/Tag Out and Fall Protection Program
• Perform daily checks on company provided vehicle

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years’ experience as a plumber acquired through training and/or experience under a formal apprenticeship or equivalent
• Valid Nevada driver’s license
• Ability to listen with comprehension to assist customers with problems
• Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to be punctual
• Patience to work under sometimes stressful conditions
• Lifting of weight up to seventy (70) pounds is required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance, Secret
• Willing to achieve certifications according to government requirements
