Job Description

Key Responsibilities PLC & Control System Management Manage and maintain PLC systems, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and communication networks of EPB TBMs and backup systems. Diagnose and rectify PLC, automation, and control?related faults to minimize TBM downtime. Monitor real?time TBM data, alarms, and trends to identify system abnormalities and performance issues. Ensure proper functioning of sensors, instrumentation, encoders, and feedback systems integrated with the PLC. Operational Support Provide technical support to TBM Operators, Shift Managers, and Engineers for control?system?related issues. Support commissioning, start?up, and troubleshooting of TBMs and auxiliary systems. Assist in adjusting control logic and parameter settings in coordination with TBM OEMs and tunnel management. Coordination with OEMs & Contractors Interface with TBM manufacturers, automation vendors, and specialist contractors for system upgrades, modifications, and fault resolution. Review OEM documentation, PLC logic diagrams, I/O lists, and software updates. Maintenance & Reliability Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for PLC systems and automation components. Maintain proper backups of PLC programs, HMI configurations, and system software. Ensure cybersecurity and access control measures for TBM automation systems. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of PLC faults, corrective actions, system changes, and software revisions. Prepare reports on control system performance, downtime analysis, and improvement recommendations. Support incident investigations and root?cause analysis related to automation failures. Safety & Compliance Ensure PLC systems function in compliance with project safety standards, interlock logic, and emergency systems. Support safety?critical systems such as emergency stops, fire detection interfaces, and alarm systems.
