This role would also suit professionals with experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, Controls Engineer, or Automation Engineer. Job Responsibility:

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and PLC maintenance in line with safety, quality, and company standards
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults on automated and production systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and CMMS data
  • Coordinate with engineers, production teams, and contractors to ensure timely and efficient maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards

Requirements:

  • Time-served or apprenticeship-qualified multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical expertise
  • Experience with PLCs, including Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley systems
  • Previous experience in food/FMCG or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ/BTEC or equivalent)
  • Proactive, reliable, and a team player who takes ownership and initiative
