Ellie Mental Health in Clinton Township is seeking an experienced Outpatient Play Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work closely with children, adolescents, and families, using play therapy techniques to support emotional healing and growth. Job Responsibility:
Provide individual and group play therapy for children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
Use therapeutic play techniques to help children express emotions, improve coping skills, and address behavioral challenges
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each child and family
Establish a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment where children can engage in creative activities for healing
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with practice standards
Collaborate with other clinicians, families, and the Clinic Director to ensure quality care and client satisfaction
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities
Requirements:
Master’s degree in a behavioral health science or related field
Full clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
Experience using play therapy techniques to address emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns in children
Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents
Ability to develop creative therapeutic interventions that engage children in the therapeutic process
Experience in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can express themselves freely
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and the team
Proficiency in Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant experience is a plus!)
Nice to have:
Specialized training or certification in play therapy (such as RPT or LPC-Play Therapy)
