Circle K is seeking an experienced Platform Owner to own our Information Super Highway - Retail platform. ISH-R is our proprietary cloud services platform that powers Circle K's digital experiences across the globe. This person will serve as the voice of the business to successfully guide development teams in building software capabilities with the highest business and customer impact. They will represent business needs/priorities and prioritize and manage the product backlog for the entire platform. They will be responsible for incorporating feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement. Circle K follows the SAFe framework and expects this person to participate in PI Planning and related ART Ceremonies. This role will report up through the Emerging Technologies team. The Emerging Tech team is the newest team within Global Tech and is responsible for owning innovative digital products at scale. This is a global role that will require working with stakeholders across both North America and Europe.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the owner of ISH-R as a platform, closely collaborating with all Product Managers and business stakeholders
Act as the voice of the business to guide all stages of software development
Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of business needs
Influence business stakeholders to make decisions/compromises and hold development teams accountable
Develop a deep understanding of business value of every feature/enhancement
Maintain a constant pulse on the platform to anticipate risks and potential delays
Understand full capacity of all development teams and strategically utilize capacity
Work with Product Managers and technical stakeholders to develop and document epics and user stories within Jira
Prioritize and maintain product backlog based on collaboration with Product Managers and Scrum Masters
Participate in SAFe ceremonies such as PI-Planning, backlog refinements, and team retrospectives
Analyze feedback from sprint reviews and other data to identify future product needs
Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience) in Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of leading development teams or solution architecture experience
5+ years of product management or related experience
