Citizens Bank is seeking an accomplished Network Security Platform Manager to lead the strategy, architecture, and operations of the Network Security and Load Balancing product line. This leader will oversee a global team of highly skilled network security architects and engineers, driving innovation, automation, and strong security posture across all network platforms.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of security architects and network engineers
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence
Set clear strategic direction for the product line
Champion the vision for automated network security and load balancing
Oversee the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of firewalls, outbound proxies, load balancers, and cloud-native security solutions
Drive automation of policy enforcement
Implement and mature Zero Trust models and micro-segmentation strategies
Serve as SME for key technologies
Act as the central point of contact for all network-security-related audits and regulatory reviews
Lead the end-to-end process for responding to audit requests
Document operational risks (ORs)
Maintain strong relationships with internal risk, compliance, and cybersecurity governance partners
Oversee the vulnerability management program for network platforms
Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure SLAs are met
Provide executive-level reporting on vulnerability posture, risk trends, and remediation progress
Maintain a clear product backlog
Work closely with enterprise architects, IT security teams, application teams, and business stakeholders
Communicate strategy, roadmaps, risks, and program status to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements:
Deep expertise with firewalls, load balancers, outbound proxies, and security automation frameworks
Hands-on proficiency with Palo Alto and F5 technologies, plus AWS/Azure native security and load balancing services
Strong experience with industry-leading tools such as ForcePoint, Netskope, Zscaler, and Illumio
In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, and modern network security architectures
Proven leadership experience managing global engineering teams
Demonstrated experience leading audit, compliance, or regulatory engagements within a financial institution
Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes, tools, and risk reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Minimum 5+ years in network security, with at least 5+ years leading engineering or platform teams
Professional certifications (CISSP, CCNP Security, CISM, or equivalent) preferred
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level presentation skills
