Job Description

The Manager - Integration Platform is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing enterprise integration platforms spanning API Gateways (real-time APIs), Messaging (Pub/Sub, Kafka), and Batch/ETL systems. This role is instrumental in enabling reliable and scalable data exchange across business-critical systems by ensuring the stability, security, and performance of integration services. The Manager works closely with engineering, DevOps, architecture, and data teams to implement integration best practices, oversee delivery pipelines, and drive operational excellence across real-time, streaming, and batch integration domains.

Job Responsibility

  • Define, evangelize, and execute the strategic roadmap for the integration platform
  • Act as the primary owner and subject matter authority for enterprise integration platforms
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve the platform
  • Lead a team of highly motivated platform engineers
  • Lead the engineering, governance, and lifecycle management of enterprise APIs using Google Apigee
  • Establish policies and frameworks for API productization, security enforcement, runtime traffic control, quota management, and monetization
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and publish APIs
  • Oversee the API developer portal
  • Elicit the complex business requirements
  • Architect and operationalize a high-throughput, low-latency enterprise messaging layer
  • Define best practices for message schema evolution, topic partitioning, replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and throughput optimization
  • Provide architectural oversight and operational leadership over cloud-native and legacy ETL systems

  • Champion infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

Requirements

  • 14+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise integration, or platform development
  • 10+ years of people and technical leadership experience
  • Expertise in API Gateway technologies, especially Google Apigee
  • Strong experience with event-driven messaging platforms such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub and Apache Kafka
  • Hands-on experience managing ETL and data integration pipelines using tools such as Google Cloud Dataflow, Informatica, dbt, or Airflow
  • Proficiency in Java and Python for backend development
  • Solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics integration
  • Deep understanding of container orchestration and deploying services on Kubernetes
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for integration workloads
  • Proven experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Familiarity with observability and telemetry tooling
  • Practical knowledge of security frameworks and practices including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual TLS
  • Experience establishing and governing API lifecycle standards
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOX
  • Ability to coordinate across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
  • Master's Degree or Equivalent Level of Experience
